The OU Animation Club is getting a Redesign

We love our old logo. It’s served us well since our club started in 2019. But we also thought it was time for a bit of an update. Here’s a look at our new style.

Introducing a new look for OUAC

2022

Our new look falls more in line with the University’s design guidelines. Borrowing from the official color palette, we hope this change signals a strong future relationship between our club and the OU Scripps College of Communication that we call home.

The redesign comes with many new assets. But it all starts with our new logo.

Front and center is the Bezier Keyframe, stylized to resemble the icons as they appear within animation software, but still look aesthetically pleasing and feel cohesive with the rest of our design guidelines. We chose the bold Moss Green from OU’s palette as our primary color, and the iconic Cutler Green as the secondary, to pay homage to the school that we call home.

But this isn’t all; no, we’re only getting started. Our logo has multiple variations for different use cases, as you can see here.

With more options, our branding can be more flexible to the various mediums it will appear in. Sometimes, things need to be simpler, and either of the two alternate logos achieve that. When we really need to spell out who we are, we can use our word mark. We even re-interpreted the old logo into something new: our official seal! how fancy!?

We hope you enjoy this new look. We’re excited to spice things up across our social media accounts. And hopefully this is a signal of more good things to come from us. Keep your eyes peeled, there’s a lot cooking in the kitchen.
